Campus, Constituent and Affiliated Colleges - Mandatory implementation of Bio-Metric attendance in all the colleges under jurisdiction of OU
Osmania University - OU This is to inform that, vide CCE's Letter under reference (1) cited, detailed guidelines have been issued for implementation of Aadhaar enabled Bio-Metric Attendance System (AEBAS) in all Higher Educational Institutions, requesting to take measures for activation of AEBA machines for strict implementation of AEBAS for students and staff in all the Colleges i.e., University, Government, Private Aided & Unaided Colleges, w,e.f. 01.10.2022.
Accordingly, University has issued instructions for implementation of Biometric attendance in the Colleges under the jurisdiction of the University vide reference 3rd & 4th cited.
Subsequently, The Commissioner of Collegiate & Technical Education, Govt. of Telangana vide his letter under reference cited, has communicated that the Government of Telangana State has directed for mandatory implementation of Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) for students as well as staff in all the Constituent and Affiliated (both autonomous & non autonomous) Colleges.
Further, it is also informed that in case of UG/PG students, who are undergoing industrial training/internship/project work, their attendance particulars during the period of Industrial training /internship/project work may be sent by the agencies concerned to the Principals of the respective Institutions without fail for calculating the aggregate attendance put up by the students concerned and also informed to prominently display these instructions in the premises of the respective institutions for strict implementation of AEBAS for students and staff in all Colleges without fail.
In view of the above, all the Principals of Campus, Constituent and affiliated Colleges under the jurisdiction of Osmania University are hereby instructed to strict implementation of the AEBAS for Students as well as staff with immediate effect for the purpose of Scholarships/Fee reimbursements etc. and for calculating the duty period of the staff (both teaching & no teaching) and also for calculating their leaves. Further, Colleges are directed to contact TSTS: Mr. G. Arun Kumar, Senior Application Analyst :9618880802 or through mail: aa1-aua-tsts@telangana.gov.in. for activation of biometric devices.
