100% weightage to the marks secured in AP-EAPCET 2022(Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) for determining the overall ranking for the purpose of admissions into professional courses for the Academic Year 2022-23

In the references 1st and 2nd read above, The Government has given 25% weightage to the marks secured in the relevant group subjects (i.e., Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology, Physics, Chemistry) in the Intermediate Public Examination and 75% weightage to the marks secured in EAMCET/EAMCET-AC for determining the overall ranking for the purpose of admission into First Year of Under Graduate Courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Medical and Dental courses etc.

2. In the reference 3rd read above, Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) for admission into Engineering, Agriculture, Pharmacy etc., has been renamed as EAPCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test).

3. In the reference 4th cited, Government have permitted to give 100% weightage for admissions into professional courses based on EAPCET (Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) marks only for the Academic Year 2021-22, due to cancellation of intermediate exams in view of Covid-19 pandemic.

4. In the reference 5th cited the Chairman, Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education has reported that the 1st year intermediate examination for the academic year 2020-21 was not conducted due to Covid-19 pandemic and also reported that to consider 25% weightage in the relevant group subjects while assign EAPCET-2022 ranks based on intermediate performance is not possible because all the candidates paid fee for the first year intermediate examination were declared to be passed with minimum pass marks for the academic year 2020-21, and requested the Government to issue necessary orders in this regard.

5. Government after careful examination, hereby permit the Secretary, Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education to give 100% weightage to the marks secured in EAPCET-2022 (Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) for determining the overall ranking for the purpose of admissions into professional courses for the Academic Year 2022-23.

6. The Secretary, Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education is requested to take further action accordingly.
